This Week's Giveaway

Sorry, I took last week off from a contest, but Mr. Deebs was super sick and he kept me hopping (and then some)!  Plus, I've come down with a cold myself and I've got revisions for my next YA book, the International Kissing Club, due tomorrow (I'll post a fun little excerpt later this week).  So I've been busy ...

Anyway, because I did take time out this weekend  to go to a fabulous booksigning at Austin's independent bookstore, BookPeople (and let's here it for independent bookstores), I have a kick-ass prize for this week's giveaway.  An autographed copy of Cynthia Leitich Smith's brand new vampire book, Blessed.  So leave an answer to this week's question and be entered to win!

Question of the Week: The first ever Into the Tempest poll is closing tomorrow, and it looks like mermaids are the clear winner (yay, for Tempest and for me).  If you voted, and even if you didn't, tell me what your favorite supernatural creature is and why.  My favorites are mermaids and shifters (big surprise as I have both in Tempest Rising and I also write a dragon shifter romance series) because I love their ability to flourish in two worlds, to be two totally  different things :) So how about you???

  1. I hope you are all feeling better soon Tracy!!

I love shifters and now mermaids too! Shifters because I think it is so neat that they can be one thing one minute and something different the next!
I'd never read anything with mermaids until you shared Tempest Rising with us and I'm quickly becoming a fan of them. I'm very excited to read the book and to get a look into something new and different!

  2. My favorite mythical creature is without a doubt the mermaid. I've been obsessed with mermaids since I was three years old, maybe a bit too obsessed, and I can't imagine life without them! I'm always on the lookout for new mermaid books to curb my cravings for all things Mer, and Tempest Rising is the one I'm most anticipating.

  3. Thanks, Blanche! I'm excited that you're getting hooked on mermaids.

Garrett, I've been a fan since I was about three, too. I loved The Little Mermaid (the original Hans Christian Anderson version because Disney's wasn't out yet) and I watched it every day for like two solid years.

  4. Mermaids, sirens and fae are new favorites. And vamps are the classic favorite. They all have such great magic and myths about them.

  9. Yay, donnas. I'm all about the cool mythologies, too. Sirens seem to be superpopular these days, and I've really enjoyed reading them.

Yzhabella's bookshelf, I am a fan of the alpha male myself. Yummy indeed!

Melanie, I do like that every world is a little different. It makes it hard to get bored :)
